This creative stuffing is sure to please your Thanksgiving crowd. Made with focaccia bread, and loaded with broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers, parmesan cheese, and Italian sausage.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large saute pan, melt butter over medium-high heat. Saute sausage, garlic, onion, and celery together until sausage is cooked, about 4 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Stir in broccoli rabe, peppers, and focaccia until combined. Season with Italian seasoning and salt, and pour in broth. Spoon mixture into a 13″ x 9″ casserole dish.
- Cover casserole with foil, and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil, increase temperature to 400°F, and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until top is golden brown. Let rest for 10 minutes and top with grated Parmesan before serving.
Tip: This stuffing is loaded with all sorts of Italian ingredients. Feel free to use spicy Italian sausage or even pepperoni to spice up your new Thanksgiving favorite.
