‘Tis the Seasonings


Spice up the holiday gifts this year with these easy-to-make homemade seasoned salts—which are much more affordable than the store-bought varieties, too. With a variety of wonderful flavors—chili lime, hot sauce, and bacon Parmesan—you can create a gift set to fit everyone’s taste buds. They’ll think you’re the salt of the earth!


Ingredients

chililimeChili Lime:

With 1 cup of sea salt, 4 teaspoons of fresh lime zest, and 4 teaspoons of crushed red pepper flakes, you’ll create a sweet-and-salty seasoning that’s sure to delight.


hotsauceHot Sauce:

Turn up the heat with this seasoning recipe, which blends  3½ tablespoons of sriracha sauce with 1 cup of sea salt.


baconpaarmesanBacon Parmesan:

Featuring 1 cup of sea salt, ⅓ cup of bacon bits, and ⅓ cup of grated Parmesan, this seasoning provides the taste of cheesy bacon to every sprinkle.


Instructions

Combine the ingredients in a bowl, mix thoroughly, and spread out mixture on a baking pan lined with wax paper. Preheat the oven to 250°F, and place the baking pan in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the mixture is dry. Once dry, run the ingredients through a blender to combine, place in an airtight jar, and then print out and affix these classy labels to finish off your sensational seasoning gift.
