Twice as Nice: Seasonal Shake Recipes


Creamy, succulent milk shakes are enjoyed throughout the year, but they can really make for a delightful treat during the holiday season, too! With the mouthwatering pumpkin pie and peppermint shake recipes below, you can make a smooth, tasty transition from one season to the next—while still satisfying your sweet tooth!


PUMPKIN PIE MILK SHAKE

Servings: 2

Pumpkin is the quintessential taste of autumn, and it’s easy to add some spice to the season by making this creamy milk shake—which features real pumpkins and graham crackers—to enjoy!

pumpkinIngredients:

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ cup graham cracker crumbs, plus more for garnish
  • Whipped cream

Instructions:

Combine the ice cream, milk, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice in a blender, and blend until smooth. Then stir in the graham cracker crumbs. Top with whipped cream, and garnish with additional graham cracker crumbs.


PEPPERMINT MILK SHAKE

Servings: 2

Peppermint sticks have seemingly been part of the holidays for ages, and now you can incorporate this fantastic flavor into your own creamy, candy-cane-flavored milk shakes!

peppermintIngredients:

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • ¼ cup crushed candy cane pieces, plus more for garnish
  • Whipped cream

Instructions:

Combine the ice cream, milk, peppermint extract, and crushed candy cane pieces in a blender, and blend until smooth. Top with whipped cream, and garnish with additional crushed candy cane pieces as desired.
