These marinades are simple to make, but when combined with any lunch or dinner meal, they instantly take it to a whole other level.
Tangy Cilantro Marinade
Who doesn’t love cilantro? With a little extra lime juice and honey, this makes any meal all the more flavorful.
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 teaspoon honey
- ¼ cup cilantro leaves, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch of salt
Herbed-Ranch Marinade
You can’t go wrong with a fan-favorite ranch dipping sauce. Add a few more ingredients to transform your protein-based dish instantly.
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup ranch dressing
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
- Pinch of salt and pepper
Spicy Chili Marinade
Care for more of a kick? This Mexican touch will take your meal up a notch.
- ¼ cup oil
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Pinch of salt and pepper
To prepare all marinades:
- Put all marinade ingredients into a heavy-duty freezer bag.
- Add desired protein, seal, and mix the bag around to ensure that all of the pieces of protein are coated.
- Place in either the refrigerator or the freezer.
Note: If refrigerated, cook the protein, and serve the next day. If frozen, thaw overnight in the refrigerator, cook, and serve the next day.
