Beards are known for being notoriously scratchy, but really, the only thing preventing that face from feeling like a newborn kitten instead of a sheet of sandpaper is a little TLC.

If you (or the beard-sporting man in your life) wants their facial hair to feel as smooth as silk, prepare this soothing blend of essential oils and softening butters for the ultimate beard balm.

Directions:

1. Fill a small saucepan halfway full with water, and turn heat on low.
2. Place the beeswax, shea/cocoa butter, and jojoba oil in a heat-proof glass container, and place directly into the heated water. Allow to warm until the ingredients are completely melted.
3. Once melted, remove from heat, and immediately add in the argon oil and other essential oils of your choice, and stir. Pour into a tin container immediately, and allow to solidify (about 2 hours).

Tip: when ready to use, take about a dime-sized amount of the balm to warm between your palms, and apply to facial hair in a downward motion—smoothing and shaping into your desired look.
