Clear your space.

Make sure there is enough room in your living room to build your fort.

Create a roof.

Depending upon the space, either secure a removable hook, or attach a loop from the ceiling. Using binder clips or books as anchors, connect the bedsheets to the hook and/or loop.

Set the foundation.

Place chairs and books around the perimeter, and connect the bedsheets with the clothespins—this will give the fort its opening. Place a large, fluffy comforter on the floor inside of the fort to act as the base.

Play up your creativity.

Decorate! String lights around the inside, and include various throw blankets and pillows to give the fort a warm and cozy vibe.
