Ever notice how we associate certain aromas with certain times of the year? There’s the ever-present smell of fresh flowers in spring and sunscreen and salt water in summer, for example. The same is certainly true when the weather turns cooler and various scents abound.

Here are three great ideas for filling your home with fragrant holiday potpourri this season, using all-natural ingredients. You just simply place the ingredients into a pot filled with water, and simmer on the stove-top. Feeling generous? Forgo the water and place the dry ingredients in a mason jar for a sweet-smelling holiday gift!

Crisp Winter Morning
One of the strongest scents associated with the holiday season is pine. Create your own indoor winter-scented wonderland with 3 sprigs evergreens or a handful of pine needles, 2 cups rosemary, 2 cups lavender, 1 cup eucalyptus leaves, ½ cup peppermint or spearmint, and ½ cup bay leaves.
