Want to make your cupcakes look like they’re from a fancy bakery? It’s easier than you think.

With a piping bag fitted with a 2D piping tip, start in the center and hold your piping tip at a 90-degree angle to the top of your cupcake. Apply a small amount of buttercream in the center, and continue working counterclockwise until you reach the edge. Apply a bit of pressure to the piping bag, and pull it away. Voilà! You made a rosette.
