How to Make a Remembrance Poppy Wreath

Did you know that wearing a red poppy has been a proud military tradition for almost a century? In fact, the red poppy has symbolized the sacrifices of veterans since the early 1900s. Show your support for our veterans by taking some time to create your own Remembrance Poppy Wreath!

Materials

Directions:

  1. Take your red cupcake liners, and fold them inside out. Each poppy will need 2 different petal shapes. Cut out a large petal, about half the size of the liner. (Note: You can save time by cutting multiple liners at once.) Repeat, making a smaller petal that is the size of the base of
the liner.
  2. To create the poppy, pick up one small petal, and pinch it in the center to add texture. Do
the same with a large petal, and attach it to
the back of the small petal with glue.
  3. Attach a black pom-pom to the poppy center. Using a green cupcake liner, cut out a petal shape. Pinch the end, and attach to the bottom of your poppy with glue. Then glue the poppy to the wreath.
  4. Repeat with additional flowers and petals around the outside of your wreath until it is full, and let the wreath dry completely before hanging.
