This new take on pigs in a blanket will be an instant party crowd pleaser. We substituted chorizo sausage for hot dogs, and lightly seasoned the puff pastry with Mexican spices. Serve with your favorite store bought or homemade chile con queso as a cheesy dip for these piggies.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Place puff pastry on a floured surface, and cut the sheet into quarters. Roll chorizo links in puff pastry, and seal the seam with egg wash.
- Cut wrapped chorizo into bite sized slices, and brush with egg wash. Arrange, 1/2-inch apart, on a greased baking sheet, and season each with taco seasoning.
- Bake for 30–40 minutes or until golden brown. Let rest for 5 minutes, serve with warm queso dip, and garnish with chopped cilantro.
Tip: Some like it hot—you can spice up your chorizo pigs even more with a spicier taco seasoning.
