Gratitude Turkey Bank
The season of giving is approaching, and in the hustle and bustle of the season it can be easy to lose sight of what this time of year is really all about.
A bank is a great way to collect your spare change as a reminder to give back what you can for the holiday’s, and can teach kids about the importance of generosity, too!
Materials
Directions:
- Paint the Mason jar, lid ring, and wooden spools, and allow to dry.
- Trace the lid ring on a piece of card stock in a similar color to the paint. Cut out the circle, and cut a slit in the center to insert money. Use the glue to stick the paper circle to the inside of the lid ring, and place the lid back onto the jar.
- Use the card stock to make feathers in varying colors, and glue to the back of the jar. Glue wooden spools to the bottom of the jar for legs, and allow to dry. Cut out a small triangle of card stock for the beak, and glue to the front of the jar, as well as the googly eyes.
