Egg hunts are always one of the best parts of Easter for kids both big and small. But it seems the older kids get, the harder it is to come up with hiding spots for those eggs that they haven’t already thought of. These ideas are sure to change up your family’s usual egg hunt for an Easter challenge even the adults will enjoy. Who knows, maybe one of these could become a new family tradition!

Materials

Directions:

  1. Hide a child’s Easter basket, and decide which color the child’s clue-filled Easter eggs will be.
  2. Write a clue for where the basket is hidden on the puzzle, making sure to write on as many pieces as possible, and let dry. Break up the puzzle, put one puzzle piece in each plastic egg, and hide the eggs.
  3. Repeat the above steps for each child.
  4. Instruct the children to find their eggs and put their puzzles together to get the clues to finding their treasures.

Materials

Directions:

  1. Write different actions (such as jumping, skipping, twirling, or hopping) on each strip of paper for the children to do.
  2. Place a strip of paper in each egg, and hide the eggs.
  3. Instruct the children to find the eggs, but inform them that they have to follow the instruction in each egg they find until they find another one, and that once the eggs are found, they can enjoy their Easter baskets.
