Glass jars are great resources for adding a classy touch to handmade gifts. This holiday season, elevate the presentation of your presents by etching a fun design or personal phrase onto the glass surface. Or consider adding a little pizzazz to your standard drinking glasses for your next holiday soiree. The process is simple and sure to impress!

Directions:

1. Using alphabet stickers, spell out the phrase you would like etched onto your glass. Remove the backs of the stickers, and adhere to the jar.
2. Create a rectangle border around the phrase with painter’s tape, making sure to keep even spacing around the edges of the words. Make sure that the tape creates a tight seal so that the etching cream does not leak through.
3. Using the paintbrush, carefully apply the etching cream in a thick layer onto the taped-off rectangle area and alphabet stickers. Allow the cream to sit on the glass for at least 60 seconds before rinsing it off in the sink with warm water.
4. Once all the cream has been washed away, remove the tape and the stickers to reveal the etched message!
