Now known for their rustic appeal, pulleys used to be used solely for lightening a load of heavy-duty lifting jobs. It can also be repurposed to be a farm-style holder for plants, in a way that is both practically and aesthetically pleasing.

Directions:

1. Tie the end of the rope to one of the pails, and thread the other end through the antique pulley. Make sure the rope is at a desired length for hanging, and tie the opposite end to the other pail. Add soil to each pail, followed by the plants.
2. Install the ceiling hook according to the package instructions, and make sure it’s secure. Attach the s-hook and chain to the pulley, and hang from the ceiling hook.
