Furniture Meant to Change and Evolve with You

If you think about changing up your furniture layout frequently, and want a fresh perspective for the room, then adaptable furniture is for you. These pieces of furniture are characterized by their ability to change style as often as you do.

What are adaptable furniture pieces?

Adaptable furniture pieces such as couches, chairs, and tables, can be manipulated to change shape and form. Companies like Home Reserve offer customers built–in storage compartments, changeable fabrics, styles, and layouts. People love adaptable furniture because rearranging their space is quick and easy, preparing for different situations. For a party, movie, or hangout the couch and chair demands are different. The pieces that can move are called modules. Modules are often sold as individual pieces, too. This way, you can expand your couch with an extra seat, if needed.

How much more does it cost?

Prices vary on adaptable furniture pieces, depending on brand, size, and material. Overall, it seems that it is pricier than regular static furniture, but you do get more freedom with the higher cost. It’s not budget–friendly, but if you can afford it and want it, it might be worth it for you to try out. Look for companies that offer risk–free trials for 30–60 days. This way, you’ll know if you truly will utilize the rearrangeable component of the furniture. If you don’t find that you utilize it enough, those companies will typically accept the furniture back and give full refunds to customers.

Adaptable couches

Companies that offer sustainable, adaptable couches are growing in number. Couches are the most popular form of adaptable furniture.

Home Reserve offers sustainable couches, with the filling made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.

LoveSac has a wide array of options, from sectional to loveseats, that are customizable, and they also have outdoor seating available.

JoyBird not only sells modular couches, but with every purchase they use a portion of the profit to plant trees in various forests in the US in partnership with conservation groups. Each couch bought plants about 6–7 trees.

Adaptable chairs

All Modern has chairs that transform into twin beds if you need an extra bed for a guest.

Adaptable tables

Expand Furniture has a top selling “coffee to dinner” table that transforms from day into night to accommodate up to 8 people.

It’s clear that consumers want more from their furniture. As technology improves, people are innovating more, and homes are part of the technological revolution. Changing the shape, position, and style of furniture on demand is both possible and popular now.
