Ingredients: For the filling
Instructions:
- In a electric mixer fitted with a dough hook attachment, combine salt, yeast, sugar, and flour. Pour in water and milk, and mix until a dough ball forms. Drizzle dough with olive oil, and cover. Let rise at room temperature for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes, and portion into four equal pieces. Roll dough into an oval, and roll up the edges slightly forming a boat, pinching the ends.
- Fill each boat evenly with cheese, and brush the dough with egg wash. Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven. Using the back of a spoon, make indentations in the cheese. Crack an egg gently into the indentation, and return the bread to the oven. Bake for an additional 10 minutes or until bread is golden brown and egg whites are firm. Serve warm.
