The Moroccan spice blend ras el hanout brings the flavors of cardamom, cumin, cinnamon, and nutmeg to this popover recipe that’s perfect to serve with a roast.
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- In a large bowl, whisk together popover batter ingredients until smooth and blended.
- Grease a large muffin pan with softened butter. Place greased pan in the oven for 2–3 minutes.
- Carefully remove hot pan and fill each muffin cup halfway with batter. Return to oven and bake for 30 minutes.
- Drizzle with honey before serving.
Tip: Keep that oven door closed—opening it while cooking will cause the popovers to deflate.
