France and Britain debate over the creation rights of this sweet and sour drink, but no matter who is to thank, it’s a simple favorite that never fails.

Instructions:  

1. Rim a chilled glass with the lemon juice, and coat with the sugar.
2. In a shaker, combine the cognac, triple sec, and remaining lemon juice. Add ice, and shake until chilled.
3. Strain into rimmed glass, and garnish with the lemon twist.
