5 Festively Fun Party Games
The holidays provide the perfect excuse to throw a shindig. Whether you find yourself in the company of friends and family or co-workers, a party just isn’t a party without food, drinks, and of course, games! These festively fun activities are sure to bring out the joy of the season, and a little bit of competitiveness in your party-goers.
Ornament guess
Get everyone involved as soon as they walk in the door! Display your tree in all its glory, and have guests take a gander at the total number of ornaments on the tree. The winner is the person who guesses closes to the actual amount without going over. Just be sure that you counted the total before guests arrive!
Christmas caroling pictionary
Pictionary is a blast on its own, but combined with beloved Christmas carols? This game is guaranteed to be a hit! Separate your guests into teams, and provide them with a list of carols. Each team member will be tasked to describe the song only using pictures. You can only hope that you have at least one artistic person on your team.
Stocking stuffers
Remember our Halloween Freaky Feel Box? This stocking guessing game uses the same concept with a festive-twist. Simply fill an oversized stocking with wrapped items—under $10—and have each partygoer guess what each item is. If they happen to guess correctly, they can keep the item. If not, the stocking is passed to the next person.
Christmas charades
Another holiday-spin on a classic. Charades is known to provide hours of laughter, so adding this game to your party is a no-brainer. Again, separate your guests onto teams, and provide them with a list of holiday-related words and phrases. Instead of drawing, the team members will be tasked to act it out, without using any words. Trust us, it’s more difficult than it sounds!
Saran ball wrap
The Saran Ball Wrap game is just that—a large ball of Saran Wrap that’s layered with a ton of goodies (candy, gift cards, etc.) throughout the ball, and one big prize (money) at the center. The first person with the ball starts unwrapping while the person on their right rolls a pair of dice, trying to roll doubles. Once doubles are rolled, the ball is passed to the next player, and the sequence begins again. The person with the ball does not stop unwrapping until the person rolls doubles. With a little luck, your partygoers could walk away with amazing prizes!
Be sure to incorporate a few (if not all) of these games into your holiday party this year!
