If you’re in need of new decor for your Father’s Day party, or you simply want to surprise dad with something homemade, this “grillin’ and chillin’” sign is just what you’re looking for.

Directions:

1. Print out the template and use the carbon paper and pencil to trace words onto the wood slab in desired layout.
2. Heat your wood burning tool according to tool instructions, and wood burn the word “grilling” into the slab. If you want to fill in the entire word in one tone, keep shading evenly. If you prefer a gradient, shade from the outside and work your way to the center with a lower heat on the tool, using less pressure.
3. Paint the outline of the words “and grilling” in paint color of choice. Add highlights with a second paint color around the edges of the letters.
4. Use a ruler to evenly space out the location of where you want to attach the bottle opener and the hooks. Mark with a pencil, and screw in bottle opener and hooks.
