This sweet and decadent frosting is the only recipe you’ll ever need for all of your cake and cupcake baking endeavors!
- In a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, cream the butter on medium speed until softened, and then slowly add in the powdered sugar, about one cup at a time. Add in the vanilla, and then the pinch of salt.
- Pour in milk one tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is achieved.
Tip: thicker icing is best for cupcakes, while thinner icing can be used on cakes.
