Update Your Old Clothes for Your Pet!
Dressing your pup to look their best can be fun, but not with the cost of specially made outfits. Instead, you can easily upcycle your worn or unused clothes into a brand-new wardrobe for pet.
Comfy pup sweater
Keep your pet warm on chilly walks with this upcycled sweater that fits just right!
Materials:
- Old sweater with large sleeves or cotton pajama pants (for larger dogs)
- Fabric scissors
Directions:
Measure your dog around the widest part of their belly to ensure the sweater will fit. Cut off the sleeve or pant leg from the sweater or pants, and cut out two small holes for their legs. Tip: When cutting the leg holes, start smaller and adjust the size, if needed, to fit your dog.
Funky flower
Make your pup fun and fashionable with a decorative flower for their collar.
Materials:
- Old Shirt
- Fabric scissors
- Felt
- Hot glue gun/glue
Directions:
Cut out roughly 10, clover flower shapes from the shirt. Cut out a 2-inch circle of felt, and glue the petals around the felt circle to form a flower. Cut another piece of felt, between ½-inch and 1-inch wide, the same length as the circle. Glue the ends of the felt to the circle, leaving enough room to slip onto your dog’s collar.
White-collar canine
Every dog should have a business-casual look!
Materials:
- Collared button-up shirt
- Fabric scissors
Directions:
Cut off the collar of the shirt, and secure around your pups neck with the button.
