Online shopping can be helpful with store closures, searching for deals, and quick purchases. If you can’t find it in stores, it’s probably online.

If you’re like most Americans, you might do a combination of online and in-store shopping, but the number of online shoppers in the US is projected to reach a record-breaking 230.5 million in 2021 as more people shop exclusively online to avoid potential infectious exposure to COVID-19. This is a trend that isn’t going anywhere for the foreseeable future.

Don’t sacrifice traditional coupons and price matching deals while browsing. Consider these free to use, top-rated browser extensions that can take the work out of online shopping.

Honey

With the most downloads of any shopping browser, Honey is a versatile tool to download for all kinds of online shopping. The Amazon price comparison tool is a favorite of users, since it automatically pops up in the Amazon site next to the item letting you know if Amazon has the best price against other retailers. When it comes time to check out, Honey will apply coupon codes until it finds the best. You no longer have to search for valid coupon codes online!

Price Blink

Not sure where to shop? Price Blink takes the guessing out of where to find the best deal. Downloading this free extension enables you to see other websites with the same product, giving options on where to find the best savings.

Rakuten

The slogan for Rakuten is, “Shop. Earn. Get Cash Back.” Everyone likes to earn and get cash back for shopping. It’s easy, free money you shouldn’t pass up on. Stores pay Rakuten a commission for the business they get from users and Rakuten shares the commission with you as cash back through PayPal or check. Make every day a pay day!

The Camelizer

This extension is only available on Google Chrome and Firefox, and it’s perfect if you have your eye on a specific item and can wait it out a bit. The Camelizer tracks “historic pricing” on Amazon and gives you access to those pricing records to determine the best time to buy. Additionally, use their Amazon price watch feature so you’ll be notified when an item you want drops in price.

Capital One Shopping

Previously known as WikiBuy, Capital One Shopping has over 9,000 five-star ratings on the chrome store since its launch in 2018. By entering your name, zip code, and email address (you can optionally link an Amazon prime account) Capital One Shopping will automatically search for relevant coupons and run price comparisons. Going directly to the Capital One Shopping’s website after creating an account gives you access to a search function for deals all over the web, which saves the hassle of searching around.
