The Fourth of July is the day we celebrate our independence as a country every year. What better way to celebrate than with food? Bring these easy-to-make star chips to the Fourth of July party or barbecue to pump up the patriotic sentiment, and pair them with this spicy buffalo chicken dip to make a stars-and-stripes combination that will wow your family and friends.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Arrange corn tortillas on cutting board. Using star-shaped cookie cutters, cut tortilla to desired sizes and shapes. Set aside on a plate until all chips are cut.
- Pour oil into a shallow bowl. Using a basting brush, lightly cover both sides of each chip with oil. Arrange onto a non-greased cookie sheet, and sprinkle with salt. Continue until all chips are prepped.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, checking often to avoid burning chips. Remove from oven, and sprinkle with more salt to taste. Transfer to serving bowl, and serve with your favorite dip.
