For ages, catching fireflies has been a great way for kids to spend warm summer evenings outside. You can keep that summertime tradition alive while adding some creativity to the mix by stylizing the jars your kids use! These decorated bug jars will make it even more fun for kids to gather lightning bugs, and they can also double as a bug bank for collecting change long after sum
- Pick your favorite color, and paint the lid of your jar. This may require several coats.
- While the paint is drying, use hot glue to attach the magnets to your plastic bugs.
- Once the paint is dry, stick the bugs to the lid of the jar, and enjoy!
