Chicken cordon bleu gets a skillet makeover in this easy-to-prepare dinner recipe. (No fancy kitchen skills required.)
- Cook the penne according to the package directions.
- Melt the butter in an oven-safe deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add the flour, chicken broth, half-and-half, cream of chicken soup, and whisk together to combine.
- Stir in the honey mustard, onion powder, and salt and pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer for 4–5 minutes. Add in the chicken, ham, and sour cream, and stir.
- Add the pasta, and mix together. Sprinkle the white cheddar cheese over the noodles and top with bread crumbs. Move the skillet into the oven, and broil until the cheese melts and bread crumbs brown. Remove from the oven, and let cool before serving.
