These DIY Candy Necklace Kits Will Be the Crown Jewel of the Bake Sale
While the food usually sells itself, it doesn’t hurt to add a little fun to your bake sale item! Engage the kids by selling things that allow them to make their own treats, such as a this candy necklace.
Using the printable candy necklace labels as the base of the kit, these baggies hold edibles that can easily be strung into an old-fashioned candy necklace, and enjoyed before, during, and after the necklace is made!
Choose your supplies.
Because the components are completely customizable, choose your favorite colorful candies—just make sure they have a hole in the center. We found that Lifesavers, peach rings, chocolate-covered pretzels, and Fruit Loop cereal worked—and looked—great!
Fill the bags.
Cut the string to make the necklace as long or as short as you’d like. Cut ¼-inch slits in either side of the label printout, and carefully wrap the string around, using each slit to hold the string in place. Place the wrapped paper inside the bag, and fill the space behind the label with enough candy to make the necklace jewels.
