Sometimes, we need to lighten up the day with a spoonful of whimsy. And what better way to do this than in the kitchen as you transform a basic lunch platter into a personified character?
Taco Tuesday gets a whole lot more fun when the circus comes to town. Claudio the Clown will make you laugh with his big, red nose (made from a cherry tomato) and his goofy green grin (created from an avocado slice).
- Get your ingredients.
To make Claudio the Clown, you’ll need taco meat, shredded lettuce, a soft taco shell, black olives, a cherry tomato, and an avocado slice.
- Make your taco.
Fill the middle of the shell with seasoned ground beef or turkey. Add the lettuce to the bottom portion of the shell.
Fold the top half over to form a half circle.
- Add eyes.
Slice black olives, and place two on top of the taco near the folded edge.
- Give him a clown nose.
Place a cherry tomato under the eyes.
- Make a smile.
Add the avocado slice under the nose.
That’s all there is to it!
